Hettie's Loose Leaf Tea Faves: Black, Green, and Fruity Teas, Plus a Sneak Peek at Our Rebrand, Hetties Tearoom, Pitlochry

Hey! Sooooo in light of our wee tea shop rebrand (….whoops that was supposed to be a secret🙈), let’s talk tea; my favourites, “fun” facts and sneak peeks.

Firstly “what’s YOUR favourite tea?” is an often asked and very hard question to answer! It depends how I’m feeling. A wake me up: Hettie in the Heather (a Sri Lankan black tea with purple heather flowers and vanilla). Often a tea to be tried if you’re feeling adventurous but not crazy!

If we’re going green it would have to be Click Clack Miss Mac (green tea with lemongrass and ginger)… even though I invented another one of the green teas, Jazztime (green tea, apple and nettle), when I was aged 8, which is equally good! I have learnt all about green tea whilst filming mum’s live streams and videos. I’m not really listening but one thing I have taken in (during the hours and hours (and hours)of filming)  is that green tea should be brewed at 80 degrees. Often people don’t like green tea as it’s “bitter” but it is infact burnt. Who knew?  Evidently my mum!!!!

Fruity?  It would hands down be Come on Raspberry Baby which is also amazing iced down! And lastly to wind down I at night I would go for Rocky’s Rainbow (chamomile with apple pieces, strawberry and all sorts of delicious bits).

Most of the names of our teas have a back story. Rocky’s Rainbow being one of the loveliest. It is a named after the first horse I ever did equestrian vaulting on and that big, gentle horse is the reason I, and so many others, fell in love with the sport. He was also a very special horse outside of vaulting and he lived till he was over 30 years old. A couple of years ago Rocky trotted his way over rainbow bridge which inspired the name of this tea! Rocky also occasionally posed as a reindeer too ….

So, onto the rebrand… our teas have always been good, we know this but it’s about to get bigger and better. We will still be keeping our fab teas the way they are… just upgrading them. Here’s a sneak peak to some of the possible packaging ideas:

May not be allowed to show you that but…..sorry mum.

Anyway! Sending you lots of happiness.

Hettie x
